  • Q What happens at the finish?
  • A The finish area of a race is always extremely busy because there will be numerous activities occurring at the same time. As you cross the line, your number and finishing time will be recorded - either by a race official or by an automatic timing chip - and you will then be directed down the finishing funnel, where you usually receive race mementoes such as a medal, t-shirt, mug and/or goody bag. Further on there will be drinks and occasionally food as well, after which there will be a baggage reclaim facility if this service is provided. When you have exited the official finish area, you can end your event with a gentle cool-down and return home to celebrate your achievements!
