  • Q How much protein should I be eating each day to support my exercise?
  • A Protein is the key building block for muscle growth and repair and so it is important to consume sufficient protein in your diet. However, there is a limit to how much protein that the body can effectively utilise - and this limit is a maximum of 2g per kilogram of bodyweight daily. As a general rule, consume 0.75g per kilogram of bodyweight on low activity days, up to 1.5g per kilogram of bodyweight on days when you do aerobic training, and up to 2g per kilogram of bodyweight on days when you do resistance training.
