  • Q How soon should I get to Blackheath before the start?
  • A To avoid rushing, which would compromise your final preparations, it is important to arrive at Blackheath in good time. You will probably need to queue for the toilet, change out of your outer clothes, deposit your kitbag on the baggage bus, warm up and get into position in the starting pens along with 35,000 other runners - so allow plenty of time. As a minimum, look to arrive one hour before the start - but remember, it will be extremely busy and you won't want to ruin your months of hard training by rushing in the final half hour.
