  • Q What other sports will help me prepare for my event?
  • A There are a few traditional sports that may help you prepare for your event. Rock climbing, cross-country running, field athletics - particularly the long jump and high jump - and circuit training all have obvious similarities with some of the activities you may well be asked to do in your event. Swimming provides a good all-round workout for the body, and if you have the right support and are feeling particularly brave, why not take on the thrill of open water swim sessions.
