  • Q How can I practice some of the obstacles I might face?
  • A Depending on your event, it is possible that you’re going to face an array of challenges designed to try and get you running scared. Fire, mud, electric shocks, heights, you name it, they are quite possibly in your event. The best way to get you in the right frame of mind for these fears and obstacles is where possible to try and train in similar surroundings. How about getting involved with boot camp-type training sessions and crawling through mud and ice cold water. Alternatively, try pouring a bucket of ice water over your head, and then going for a chilly run up a muddy slope. There are lots of ways in which you can take yourself out of your usual comfort zone to get you ready.
