  • Q How do I get faster in transition?
  • A Transition is a big part of triathlon and it is often where lots of time is lost or made up. There is little use in training hard to shave time off your swim, bike and run times if you then mess up with untidy transitions! Make sure that you know very well how to locate your bike and have your bike shoes already clipped into your pedals held up by elastic bands, and helmet on the bars with the straps open. Then prepare your run shoes by opening them out and having elastic laces so you just have to slip your feet in. Sunglasses and energy gels should also be secured onto your bike with elastic bands.
