  • Q I feel sore around my neck and shoulder after a long ride. What can I do about this?
  • A New riders will find this is one of the most common issues they experience when they start riding. To try and minimise discomfort when riding, try and shift your hand position from time to time. It also helps to try and move your neck and shoulders during the ride so they are not held in the same position for too long. After your ride you should perform a series of stretches. Pull your chin down to your chest and hold this for 15-20 seconds. Then move your head backwards as far as it will go and look up and hold this position for the same time period. As a separate exercise, move your head looking to the left as far as it will go and hold this position for 15-20 seconds, and then do the same looking to the right.
