  • Q How much water should I try to drink each day?
  • A If you become dehydrated, you can experience symptoms such as headaches, nausea and fatigue as well as impaired exercise performance - so you must always make sure you're well hydrated. A frequent quote from nutritional advisors is to consume two litres of water daily - but that isn't the entire story. Other fluids contribute positively to your daily fluid consumption, such as milk and juices - so it doesn't have to be entirely water. Remember also that if you're exercising, you will lose fluid when you sweat, and so on days when you work out you should endeavour to drink more fluids to replace those lost through sweating.
